What is the best way to get to Moonlight Melbourne?

Modified on Thu, 30 Oct at 3:33 PM

Melbourne’s Moonlight Cinema is located on the Central Lawn at Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne. Enter the venue via Domain Gate on Birdwood Avenue (near the intersection of Domain Road) and follow the path to the Central Lawn.

There are a number of ways to travel to the venue.

Public Transport:

Bus: Route 605 (Melbourne Observatory/Birdwood Avenue)

Tram: Routes 3/3a, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67 and 72 (Stop 19 Shrine of Remembrance/St Kilda Rd)

For detailed public transport information, visit Public Transport Victoria.

Car:

Metered street parking (up to four hours) is usually available near Domain Gate. Availability can vary depending on nearby events, and local parking restrictions are enforced by the City of Melbourne. Accessible parking bays are marked on the Royal Botanic Gardens Map.

Cycling:
Designated bicycle paths along the Yarra River and Melbourne CBD lead to Melbourne Gardens. Please note that riding of bicycles in the gardens is not permitted. Dedicated bicycle parking is available at Observatory Gate.

Moonlight recommends you bring a torch to assist you in making your way to and from the venue via the paths.
